All puppies left for their new homes!

It was very sad to say goodbye but they were ready for new adventures.

The last 8 weeks were tiring, strenuous, exciting, cosy but above all SO MUCH FUN! I loved every minute of it!!!

A special thanks to you all who helped me and ofcourse for the new owners for their faith in me!

Take good care of my "babies"!!! ;-)

Saturday the 17th we had a Puppy meeting!

(almost) All the new owners came together to play with the puppies and have a wonderful afternoon with nothing more than sunshine!

The organised a true picknick and they surprised me with 2 special gifts!

One was the cd with ALL the puppypictures from Bonnie and the other one was the picture from Bonnie with all the puppies on a row on canvas.

I am so happy with the presents and so happy that I (again) found such a wonderful people for my puppies!

It was a very emotional but super afternoon!!!

What a week!

First of all the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the Netherlands came to check the litter.

They found 1 kinked tail but that was no surprise! :-) And one puppy is a little bit offset but that's all!

We are so happy and so proud of Ravira and Arengo's litter!

The puppies also got their identification chip from the Raad van Beheer this week and we took a puppytest to see which puppy would fit best in which family.

At the end of the week all puppyowners knew which puppy would be theirs and they were all very happy!!!

The weather was great and the puppies spent a lot of time playing and sleeping in the garden.

And ofcourse we were very busy with socialising the puppies! They went to the garden center, to the woods and the shopping mall!

 The puppies had a very busy week again!

Playing a lot in the garden, we took them to the garden center (pictures will follow later) and they went for an official fotoshoot to Bonnie van den Born!

Today we also took the puppies to the vet for their first check-up and injection.

They behaved super and all puppies are declared completely healthy!!!

We started to socialise the puppies with the big world outside!

This week we went to school (3 times) and to the Eastermarket.

The puppies also found strange places to sleep... :-)

The puppies have a complete playground in the garden and in our livingroom. :-)

As highlight of the weekend, daddy Arengo came to visit his puppies!!!

We enjoyed their visit, unfortunately Arengo didn't enjoy his offspring so much; to tiny, to many en much to energetic! ;-)

The puppies are doing so well!

They already know they have to do their "thing" on the newspaper and they are starting to play with eachother.

Today we also started to give them fresh meat and they liked it very much!!! :-)

The puppies are two weeks old now and doing really great!

All puppies have opened their eyes and we treated them against worms for the first time today.

We also checked for DS and kinked tails again and again found nothing.

Ravira and her puppies are doing fine!

She has enough milk for all of them, the are growing super!

The puppies are born!

Ravira gave birth to 12 healthy puppies! 9 females and 3 males! :-)

Ravira and her puppies are doing great!!!

1 female has a kinked tail, all the other puppies seem to be correct.

There is very little white on the puppies, checked for DS but nothing found so far.

We are extremely happy and proud with this litter!

10.24 am: first puppy born

09.53 am: Ravira has started the delivery...

06.50 am: We had a sleepless night... Ravira was very restless and started the contractions.

She is in labour and we expect the first puppy in a short time...

Everything is still quiet over here.

Ravira's temperature is still normal. The only thing we notice is that she has less appetite the last days.

We took her to the vet yesterday and she gained 10 kilo's during her pregnancy.

Her belly is hard and really FULL of puppies. The vet was a little bit in shock when she saw Ravira's round and very BIG tummy. :-)

Today we saw and felt the puppies moving in Ravira's belly for the first time.

She is growing like an idiot... and than to think that she still has 2 more weeks to go...

This morning we went to the vet to make an ultrasound and...

RAVIRA IS PREGNANT!!!

The vet could see at least 9 puppies in her belly!

We are so happy and keeping our fingers crossed for a healthy and beautiful litter with hopefully a little girl for ourself!

We arrived safely in the Czech Republic!

Progesteron was 7.9 this morning so we will mate Ravira with Arengo tomorrow morning for the first time.

Day 16 and Ravira's progesteron was 5.08 today.

We will test one more time tommorow morning and than we will drive directly from the vet to the Czech Republic.

The vet will call us on our way to Arengo at which exact day and time to mate.

Today is day 14 of Ravira's season. Her progesteron was 2.54.

We have to be a little bit more patient...

Totally unexpected and almost 2 months to early Ravira started her season yesterday.

We took Ravira to the vet today for a health check-up and to make a smear. She is completely healthy for a litter!

Arengo is already informed and waiting for Ravira! ;-)

Looks like we will be celebrating New Years Eve in the Czech Republic!

It is 5,5 months ago that Ravira was in season.

We are starting to give her Folic Acid daily as of now, in expectation of her next season (end January/beginning February 2010).

(in which she will be mated with Arengo)

Arengo was already in the picture for a long time, because of his looks, this could be a good match for Ravira!

I studied his pedigree and liked what I saw. We talked with lots of people who already knew him and everybody was enthusiastic.

After all the positive words, I went to look at him at the Clubshow in Holland.

I met his owners and I liked Arengo from the first moment I layed eyes on him.

His very, very relaxed temperament, his beautiful body and his very friendly and sweet head...

We were in love...!!!

Arengo will be the sire of Ravira's next litter!

We keep our fingers crossed for a beautiful, but above all, healthy litter!!!
